An amazing beach!!!

A place where I usually go to for vacation is Papudo beach. I love it because every single time I go there I have a great time. I always go with my family. Sometimes, I go with some of them, but anyhow it is definitely pure enjoyment. The first time I went there, I think I was about six years old and I couldn’t stop coming back!. However, I don’t have much to tell about this place. I don’t tend to do a lot of activities because I only rest, walk around the beach, share with my family and get relaxed in order to come back to class with a lot of new positive energy. By the way, there aren’t many fun places to go to. What you can do is look at natural features, breathe clean air, and visit nearby places like La Ligua, Zapallar, Cachagua, amongst others. A nice beach!!

The power of music!

“The Commitments”: a great creation, before it is either a movie or a book. I really enjoyed watching the film because of its photography, art direction, actors, rapid development, music, and so on. I’d rather recommend people watching the film instead of reading the book. I think the film explains very clearly all the story, making it very easy to follow, while the book, is a little bit more complicated to understand because of its colloquial vocabulary, spelling, etc. Nevertheless, the film contains that same vocabulary but it’s quite more understandable because you can listen to it in real context; observing people, reflecting yourself on the screen.
When I was reading the book, there were lots of situations that came into my head. However, there were a lot which didn’t make any sense to me. By this I mean, that watching the film was my salvation! The film shortens a lot of scenes and also changes some ones, producing some gaps in the story a couple of times, but not affecting the glue of the narration however. On the other hand, the book explains every detail, step by step, making the reader feel kind of bored some times. (from my standpoint and considering that details may be a rather good tool for reading)
Anyway, the story of the band is just amazing. I loved feeling reflected on them. When I was a child I used to sing with my best friend and we created a band. I enjoyed singing so much, not very well though, but in the end, it made me travel amongst different planets like imagination, childhood, happiness, fun, things I wish I could have kept later on....but that’s what life is like! Real situations, like the ones we saw or read in “The Commitments”, dreams of people who fight for their desires, real people facing success, human relationships, families, confusion, the glory, pains, amongst a lot of other feelings and/or sensations. In the end, real life..the job the director and the writer carried out in such an entertaining, defined and professional way.

"When songs turn into confessions"

“I have forgiven Jesus” (Morrisey)

I was a good kid
I wouldn’t do you no harm
I was a nice kid
With a nice paper round
Forgive me any pain
I may have brung to you
With God’s help I know
I’ll always be near to you
But Jesus hurt me when he deserted me, but

I have forgiven Jesus
For all the desire
You placed in me when there’s nothing I
Can do with this desire

I was a good kid
Through hail and snow
I’d go just to moon you
I carried my heart in my hands
Do you understand?
Do you understand?

But Jesus hurt me when he deserted me, but
I have forgiven Jesus
For all of the love you placed in me
When there’s no one I can turn to with this love
Monday- humilliation
Tuesday- suffocation
Wednesday- condescension
Thursday- is pathetic
By Friday, life has killed me
By Friday, life has killed me
Oh, pretty one
Oh, pretty one
Why did you give me so much desire,
When there is nowhere I can go to offload this desire
And why did you give me so much love
In a loveless world
When there’s no one I can turn to
To unlock all this love
And why did you stick me in self deprecating bones and skin
Jesus, do you hate me?
Why did you stick me in self deprecating bones and skin?
Do you hate me?do you hate me?do you hate me?do you hate me?

Music is everything. When you go to a wedding; music, when you go to a funeral; music, when you go to a party; music, when you go to a club; music, when you are at home; music. Music is everywhere and songs are an amazing representation of it. Songs tell life experiences, pains, happiness, indifference, coldness, insanity, fun, and every thing you can imagine. They make you reflect on them, producing sensations of all type, they make you feel.....

This song (which is one of my favourite songs) I’ve just introduced to you tells the story of a person who, in some minute of his life, lost his faith in everything, he started suffering, being hopeless and started wondering about his destiny. What do we do when we don’t find answers? I think most of us turn to God. Well, he did the same, but in a different way. He asked Jesus if he hated him, he asked him why he had deserted him, why he gave him so much desire and love if there wasn’t anyone or anything to turn to. But finally, he forgave him in spite of his kind of “loathing”.

Sometimes in life we have to face things we don’t like but we have to be strong and keep living. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in. However, there are some people who are not able to be strong, and unluckily, wonder why their destinies were built that way. They blame God, or life?or destiny? What do you think we should do?Who’s the responsible of our pains, success, achievements, sufferings? Do we have to turn to God just when being in trouble or do we have to turn to him whenever we feel it? Is God the responsible for everything happening in the Universe? What can we do if we are in a loveless world, like the song says? Willing to read your comments, I say goodbye for a while....

Amazing webpage!!!!!

BBC Learning English page is just amazing!! I never thought that BBC had such a helpful internet resource. The webpage is very organized, providing different sections, pieces of information, news, and the most important thing for me; organization! The page helps people learn English in an extremely fun way, giving pieces of advice, strategies to face up to challenges like tests, quizzes, and so on. It also gives the chance to download material!! I know teachers who go into the page would be very grateful for the chance of downloading for free! The only thing I know so far is that when I become a teacher, I’ll definitely use it! Why? Because I think the sections the page has are very motivating and clear enough to be understood and given to the students. Clarity, when giving any task, is a fundamental element in teaching. If the person in front of the class gets confused with instructions, the students won’t catch a thing from them!! That’s why this page drove me crazy! Hahaha.

"Praying for time" (George Michael)

These are the days of the open hand
They will not be the last
Look around now
These are the days of the beggars and the choosers
This is the year of the hungry man
Whose place is in the past
Hand in hand with ignorance
And legitimate excuses

The rich declare themselves poor
And most of us are not sure
If we have too much
But we'll take our chances
Cause' God stopped keeping score
I guess somewhere along the way
He must have let us all out to play
Turned his back and all God's children
Crept out the back door
And it's hard to love, there's so much to hate
Hanging on to hope
When there is no hope to speak of
And the wounded skies above say it's much too late
Well maybe we should all be praying for time

These are the days of the empty hand
Or you hold on to what you can
And charity is a coat you wear twice a year
This is the year of the guilty man
Your television takes a stand
And you find that what was over there is over here
So you scream from behind your door
Say "what's mine is mine and not yours"
I may have too much but i'll take my chances
Cause' God stopped keeping score
And you cling to the things they sold you
Did you cover your eyes when they told you
That he can't come back
Cause' he has no children to come back for
It's hard to love there's so much to hate
Hanging on to hope when there is no hope to speak of
And the wounded skies above say it's much much too late
So maybe we should all be praying for time

Killing creativity!

Hi you all,
I got really impressed when I listened to Sr. Ken Robinson. I extremely agree with him. By the way, I thought I was the only one in this country seeking for the development of artistic abilities (as well as the "traditional and well seen ones"), but I didn't think there was an expert on this topic. I believe that any talent must be developed and shared to the world!!If you're not good at Maths, it doesn't mean you won't succeed. That's a rather poor mentality and old-fashioned standpoint (from my point of view)People should look for their opportunities, regardless of people's opinion. If your parents say that artistic abilities are not worthy, keep on believing and stay strong, keep pushin' on!!I think creativity has been killed little by little because at schools, children are not allowed to go beyond the surface with regards to what they really like!Every human being has his/her own process of learning, maybe someone bad at maths will learn maths when he/she needs it, not when being under pressure. Tests like PSU are not life!!we're so young...we can't be depending on what the result of a test will say.....a score won't decide for me. I decide what I do in my life....It's our lives, not people's opinion's lives.

Have fun with YouTube!

I like visiting http://www.youtube.com/ because I can spend a lot of time watching videos I like. I can also review very old videos I have always wanted to watch again, and I wouldn’t be able to do it if it wasn’t for the Internet webpage “YouTube”. When I first found this page was, more or less, one year and a half ago thanks to my friend Natalia. She introduced me to this fantastic webpage and I couldn’t leave it anymore hahaha. Since I don’t have time during the week to do things I wish I could, I visit this webpage, mainly, at weekends. Some days, if I don’t have special things to do, I can spend a couple of hours watching videos. I’d rather watch music videos. It can be dance videos, music clips, concerts, interviews of my favourite artists, and so on.

Music is one of my passions and I couldn’t ever stop watching videos or listening to music. I really enjoy remembering the music I listened to when I was a child and having those videos is just great!! That’s the impact it has had on me. To go back to my childhood! I think life would continue the same if I hadn’t YouTube but it would be quite less fun!!

Here you have a link if you want to watch a fabulous choreography by a great dancer. It’s a fun song!! To dance on fire! Hahahaha.

“Adult social networking sites attract young users”

Here's the link:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/apr/02/socialnetworking.ofcom

See u around!!

“Adult social networking sites attract young users”

It is true that internet is a helpful source of information. However, all its users must be aware of its dangers as well. One of the problems of the use of internet is young users, especially children. According to The Guardian newspaper, children, who are under no supervision of their parents, are at potential risk because they get into adult networking sites. It is common knowledge that false people are on the internet trying to take advantage of innocent people, especially children. And the worst thing is that very young users feel very attracted by the internet and by making things that adults do. In the end, institutions, parents, teachers or anyone who would like to give ideas on this topic, should be willing to make changes and look after their children, and children in general too. All people should be conscientious about this huge topic because more than a family topic, it is a social one.

Welcome you all!

Hello everybody!

This is my blog. I haven't been able to deal with this quite normally... but well..I'm here now hahaha. Hope you post me in order to make this a little bit fun!!

Regards!
